Project Details:
We partnered with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Richmond to lead a design-assist transformation of an aging strip mall off 9 Mile Road into the new East Lawn Teen Center—a 33,061 SF community-driven investment. This high build quality conversion required a complete gut and reconfiguration of the site, including abatement, structural shoring, and comprehensive interior and exterior upgrades. The resulting space now supports after-school enrichment and workforce readiness programs, addressing a vital need for accessible teen resources in the East End.

Our team supported the project from preconstruction through turnover, closely managing budgets and schedules to deliver long-term value without compromise. Scope highlights included MEP and finish enhancements, new glass storefronts, a prominent entrance tower, and full site improvements such as paving, lighting, and signage. By working collaboratively with the architect and owner, we delivered a dependable, community-first solution that now serves as a launchpad for youth empowerment in Richmond. We continue to support the organizational needs of BGCMR beyond project completion through ongoing philanthropic ventures. Our relationship with BGCMR has continued long after project completion supporting the needs of the organization through philanthropic ventures.
