Elizabeth Dole at Ceremony

The Honorable Elizabeth Dole, former Senator from NC, attended the unveiling of a cornerstone honoring her husband, former Senator Robert Dole, at a Cornerstone Ceremony. The ceremony, held at the Washington, DC site of the Fisher House constructed by Emerald Construction, honored Senator Bob Dole for his career in public service from World War II to the present day. The cornerstone was placed in the foundation of the new Fisher House, a home for families of veterans receiving care at the neighboring Veteran's Hospital. Emerald Construction also constructed the Fisher House in Richmond, VA, located beside McGuire Veteran's Medical Center. www.fisherhouse.org

Volunteers Help Junior Achievement Grow

  Emerald Construction was instrumental in getting the help of      several subcontractors to "volunteer" their time and materials to make it possible for Junior Achievement to move into a new, larger space. "If it had not been for Emerald, this project would not have happened," states Daphne Swanson, President of Junior Achievement of Central Virginia. "Our new facility, 'Capital One/Junior Achievement Finance Park' makes it possible for us to introduce students to the idea that they have options when they enter the work force. This new, larger facility will help us reach over 2,500 students with the Finance Park program. Thank you, Emerald!"
